Answer: These are nitrogen filled and waterproof in a general sense (rainy days etc) but are not intended for boating. Eight Owls sells 10x50 Floating binoculars which are meant for marine uses and if dropped overboard will surface quickly and float for easy retrieval but I would not hold them underwater for ant length of time as the pressure would cause a leak.
